An awesome music video.

While there were some tweens in your flash, most of it was frame-by-frame which I was greatly impressed by. The scene with the candy canes growing and changing colors was psychadelic. I laughed at the ending, I won't count off for your tablet dying, if anything it adds to the overall humor of the flash. The music was nice, but I was expecting something more Christmas sounding since it includes Santa.

Next year I only hope I can see a sequel to this where Santa will demonstrate for us the use of his godly powers. The synchronization of Santa and the beat of the song was perfect, plus the way you animated Santa was creative, it was neat how you put it in your own style. Anyway, I predict this will do well in the Winter Flash-Off, hopefully you'll win some prize money for your hard work. Keep it up, I'm very impressed!

Reviews like this make it worthwhile to respond to every single one of them =D
Thankyaso much! It's good to know that you enjoyed the animation style, since it was my first time I didn't heavily rely on symbols/tweens :D

I suppose a bit of a more christmasy feel woulda been appropriate, maybe next time a techno remix of a christmas song, just to be tacky LOLJK It's fine, I'll think of something for next year!
Again, thanks for the awesome review!

It had its ups and downs.

I thought the idea of the flash was simple, but the success of this flash is greatly due to the abundance of popular characters in it. Simply putting other people's characters into the flash really shouldn't depend on the score. The concept was good, and it was neat how you got the original authors to do the voices of the characters. The animation was alright, but considering only a few of the characters you included were your own, it was sub par in my opinion.

The credits actually were the highlight of the flash, the voice acting was funny. I also thought the conversation between the Overlord and Mastermind was creative. The music was nice too. Overall, it was tweened at times and lacked some imagination, but it was still an interesting piece to watch. Despite my rant about originality, I still thought the flash was pretty entertaining. Keep up the nice work.

Jazza responds:

i actually agree, and it would have been a lot nicer had i given myself more then 2 weeks to make it start to finish. thanks for the honest review! good points :)

Slightly amusing.

It was a very basic idea for a flash, but there really wasn't anything to grab the viewer's attention. The music fit the mood of the animation, and the frame by frame looked good, especially since it was your first attempt. I liked how you were coloring several of the figures at the same time, it allowed me to watch several things at the same time. It got beaten to death though right about when you were coloring in the flower petals, it seemed like you stretched the concept a tad too far.

There is definately room for improvement, as this was a noble attempt, it was visible that some areas were good while some were lacking. The simple animation was nice, but maybe trying a few more complex drawings rather than clouds and flowers will be more appealing to the viewer. Overall, it was fine for your first try at frame by frame, but the execution should be enhanced in several areas. Keep up the good work, bro.

Thanks! Everything you said will be very helpful for future projects :)

Very interesting.

Spooky isn't the word I'm looking for, it was more along the lines of frightening. It would have been better if the scream was louder, that was you would have effectively made me jump out of my seat. The plot was somewhat misconstrued, but the animation was awesome. It's good to see that you have a good idea for a story, it's interesting to see your out of your "Jimtopia state of mind" as well.

The introduction with the title floating from side to side was a great hook, I couldn't keep my head turned away from the screen. The music and sound effects were used appropriately to develop a scary mood, so kudos on that part. I also liked the character's reactions and how the crows multiplied consistently, it all flowed together nicely. Anyway, keep up the excellent work you two!

Jimtopia responds:

Wish I had more of a detailed response to give, but alas I'm just not in the Halloween mood anymore. I do appreciate your detailed reviews whenever you're willing to give them, so thanks much. ^_^

Very good.

It is great to see talent at such a young age, your animations never fail to impress me, Chad. I should have expected the scream, by the time it came, my headphones were turned up full volume and I nearly fell out of my chair in fright. The concept of the flash itself is very creative, I thought it would be something along the lines of them surviving, but I like how you put your own twist to it.

The voice acting was a little scratchy, but it was still easy to understand the characters. Did you record the scream or get it online? Either way, you succeeded in scaring the hell out of me. The animation was great, I loved the flashlight moving back and forth. Anyway, this was another entertaining flash of yours, it was great from beginning to end. Keep up the excellent work!

ChadsWeb responds:

Thanks :D

I actually put a recorded scream through a ton of Goldwave effects and came up with that

Glad to know it succeeded in scaring you :P

That was clever.

So far the flashes I have seen that debuted on Ban Day were funny, so it looks like it was a successful holiday for you guys. The animation was great, I love how you took the simple character designs of Locks and put them into your own creative style. One recommendation I would say is that the Speakonia voice that the Clocks and Locks use is difficult to understand at points, I think it would be beneficial to add subtitles or captions to help the viewer understand what is going on.

The ending was hilarious, I truly did not expect that to happen at all. I am somewhat unfamiliar with the Lock Legion, is the zombie eating the turtle an actual Lock? If so, that is just pure brilliance. Anyway, I'd say this is just short of being a perfect flash, I found this to be very funny and a fitting tribute to the Lock Legion. Keep up the great work!

ChadsWeb responds:

Haha, thanks

I should add subtitles, I just usually forget but I'll try to remember

Yeah, "Zombie Turtle Eating A Guy's Head Lock" is my character :3

Thanks

Pretty good.

I've been a fan of Edd's movies for a while, so it was really cool to see worlds collide with this flash. The voice acting was good, but the microphone quality was a bit scratchy which made it difficult to understand some of the voices. The music was great, I like how you synchronized a lot of the movements and voices with the song. Plus the animation was great, all of the frame by frame you put in there looked fantastic.

The flash became pretty redundant about halfway through. It seemed like it was just people charging up attacks and then avoiding them, which was pretty lame. There were some creative attacks in there, I was impressed by the amazing abilities the toaster had, haha. Overall, it was a nice flash with well executed fight scenes. Congratulations on your first award, keep up the great work!

Lazyfeet responds:

Fair comments. I definitely need to get a better mic and storyboard the whole thing first. Thanks for the kind words and responding to my request :)

And I think I've made thousands of people want a transforming toaster. A new product in the future maybe? Hehe.

I think I just blurb'd myself.
